Classifications of Aerial Lift Platforms & Scissor Lifts
Scissor lifts and aerial platforms enable employees to work on high structures because they could get to many things and structures. These lifts provide friendly user controls which enable to independently operate the platform from the base. This enables the machine to access things. There are numerous available lift designs that are suited for particular settings and applications.

Scissor Lift
Using a series of crisscrossed connected steel arms, the scissor lift is designed to make an X patterned support system when the lift is raised vertically. Employees use a big rectangle platform that is connected to the top of the lifting mechanism. There are support railings along the edges to provide added safety.

The scissor lift features a low profile that is great for pavement, hard and compact dirt surfaces and concrete. These equipments make use of either a combustion engine or an electric motor to power the lift and the lifting device.

Rough Terrain Scissor Lift
Rough terrain scissor lifts utilize the same technology as the standard model of scissor lift. The rough terrain unit varies in that it features a specific base which is designed for uneven surfaces. The rough terrain even offers oversized all terrain tires and a higher ground clearance. These units offer lower lifting heights overall due to the higher center of gravity of the equipment.

Telescopic Boom Lift
The telescopic boom lift provides a telescoping beam that rises both vertically and diagonally. This machinery provides a small work platform equipped with controls to operate the boom. The controls use an IC or a combustion engine in order to power the hydraulics and lift the boom.

Articulating Boom Lift
An articulating boom lift has two telescopic booms that are connected with a moving elbow. This lifting equipment offers a bucket or a small working platform outfitted with hand controls which are used to control the boom. The articulating lift is capable of reaching on top buildings and over objects.
