Various Kinds of Aerial Lift
A particular type of heavy machinery that enables an individual to be raised into the air is aerial lifts. These machinery are typically used to perform repairs on areas which are high up in the air such as on roofs, near power lines and street-light fixtures. Like most tools, there are various types of aerial lifts that could be used to perform different tasks. For the utmost safety, every kind of different kind of machinery needs right training and specific qualifications prior to operation.

Scissor Lifts
Genie lifts are another name for scissor lifts. These equipment are the most basic type of aerial lift available. These lifts are made of a platform which is lifted up utilizing pneumatic power and are mostly used indoors. Typically, scissor lifts are the safest kind of lift models. When completely compressed, these scissor lifts can be driven like big carts. Usually, when the platform is extended, they could not be driven for safety reasons. Before anyone can use these devices, employees should be licensed as operators.

Boom Lifts
The boom lift is a a lot more complex pieces of aerial lift equipment compared to a scissor lift. The boom lift often has a much wider base to keep the lift anchored. It utilizes a jointed arm which has a bucket on the end of it. There is a control box located in the bucket that allows the operator to lower and hoist the bucket. As the arm of the boom is jointed, it could move from side to side also. The boom lift resembles a metal scorpion's tail. Traditionally, it is utilized in construction applications outdoors. The boom lift is considered to be more risky to run compared to scissor lifts, hence, operators should be certified individually for these types of lifts.
